Picnic in the Park pack a picnic, grab a blanket (and some bug spray) and head over to Lafreniere or City Park. Eat, chat, star gaze and spend a little time just being together with no kids.

Take Out on the Lake – grab your favorite take out foods, some king cake, a blanket and bug spray. Then head over to Bonnabel or Kenner Boat Launch and watch the sun set over the lake.

City Putt and Morning Call – nothing says love like a little competitive game of mini golf, winner has to buy coffee and beignets at Morning Call after your game.

Dinner and a Movie – have dinner at your favorite local restaurant and then head over to Canal Place or The Grande in Kenner for a movie. You can even buy your tickets online (affiliate link) at Fandango before you leave.

Walk Through the Quarter – window shop, get a bite to eat at a local restaurant, listen to live music, take a street car ride and just be a tourist in your own town for the night.

Fulton Alley – after your stroll through the quarter, you can head over to Fulton Alley for bowling and fun.

Bayou Beer Garden – if beer is your thing, head over here for dinner and drinks.

Marcello's – just opened in the heart of Metairie is this great wine bar that specializes in true Italian cooking.

Bowling – how about a fun game of bowling at AMF All Star Lanes in Kenner or Colonial Lanes in Harahan.

Netflix and Chill – can't get a babysitter? Order your favorite take out and spend the night on the couch watching a movie. Yes we know what Netflix and Chill means, it is Valentine's Day after all (wink wink).

You can always do like our writer Tiffany and go to Costco – no kids, food samples, $1.50 hot dog combo and you get your grocery shopping done. What's so bad about that?
