It's finally February, which usually means parades and family and friends and all things Mardi Gras. Sadly this year, because of Covid, that's not happening. To help get us through the month while still having fun, we put together this fun list of six free things to do in New Orleans with kids in February.

Orleans Parish Appreciation Day at the Aquarium of the Americas

Free Family Sunday at Longue Vue House and Gardens

Free Admission Day at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art
In celebration of the 56 Louisiana artists included in the exhibition, Louisiana Contemporary, Presented by The Helis Foundation, admission to Ogden Museum of Southern Art will be FREE on Sunday, February 7, from 10 am – 5 pm. Prior reservations are recommended.
Orleans Parish Appreciation Day at the Audubon Zoo.
Orleans Parish residents receive free admission to the Audubon Zoo for themselves and up to four guests when they present a valid government-issued photo ID on February 17, 2021, from 10 am – 4 pm. Tickets must be reserved in advance.
Free Friday Night at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center
Explore Lynn Meadows Discovery Center in Gulfport, MS, for free on February 26, 2021, from 5 – 8 pm. Capacity is limited to 150 people and is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
