This one day permit gives you access to all of the beauty you could ever imagine stretching over 12 acres. Between the historic structures, abundance of nature, and spectacular natural light there is a spot for any and every style. In addition, City Park is home to the oldest live Oaks in the world and of WPA era art.
New Orleans City Park Botanical Gardens
Located within City Park in New Orleans, the Botanical Gardens are sure to bring life to any photo shoot. The Botanical Gardens are to over 2,000 plants from around the world. Making it effortless to discover numerous original spots for a one of a kind beautiful photo. The final results here are always sure to be stunning. Just like New Orleans City Park there is a $50 permit fee to use this location.
This not so hidden gem is 10 acres of history owned by the Archdiocese of New Orleans at 1101 Barataria Blvd. in Marrero. Hope Haven is an architecture lovers dream. The buildings are covered in moss, rust and cracks that create nostalgia and charm. Eight Spanish Colonial Revival style historic buildings sit mostly uninhabited, so most don’t even notice the beauty right beside them.
Gretna Historic District
In 1836, what is now Gretna’s downtown historic district was settled by German immigrants giving Gretna’s architecture it’s charming and unique quality it still possesses today. Take a step back in time when you arrive in the quaint old town where you’ll find the oldest firehouse in the state of Louisiana. This historic location is a picturesque setting for any photo session.
