Movie Time
Between Amazon and Netflix, there is bound to be something everyone wants to watch to make it a great movie day. We suggest Princess and the Frog for today's movie.
The Grand at the Esplanade and The Palace theaters in Elmwood will also be open!

Take a Road Trip
Tuesday is just another day in a lot of places. Why not take a day trip to the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola or to the beach for some playing in the sand? Or tae one of these twenty day trips from new Orleans. Or you can head to the Northshore and see some animals. Global Wildlife on the Northshore is open for the day, weather permitting, as is Lynn Meadows Discovery Center in Gulfport. Pick a location and go explore!
Go Jump
Skyzone in Metairie is open from 10am-9pm and Sector 6 is open from 9am-pm.
Make Your Own Parade
Make some shoebox floats like we all did as kids, you can even make some cute crafts like a shaker bottle, masks, and jester hats. Read some books about Mardi Gras. Watch the parades on TV while eating DIY Mini King Cakes and exploring our Mardi Gras Parade Activity Pack!
Laser Tag
Both Laser Tag of Metairie and Adventure Quest in Elmwood will open at 11am for play time.
Take A Hike Or Play At The Park
If the weather cooperates and you still want to get away from the parades, both City Park and Lafreniere Park will have their playgrounds open. Both are great places for a picnic, a hike and some play time. Fontainebleau and Tickfaw State Parks on the Northshore will also be open for the day.
Go Play
Luv 2 Play in Metairie is open from 10am-7pm.
Go Bowling
AMF Lanes in Kenner opens at 12pm for all your bowling fun!
Go Shopping
The outlet malls in Gonzales are open on Mardi Gras Day! Take a day trip, check out the deals and then have Cracker Bareel for lunch before heading home.
