Growing up in New Orleans, Mardi Gras, one of our family's favorite times of the year. The floats, the parades, the fun. When we moved to Pensacola, the kids had to make sure Mardi Gras was a thing here too. Here are all the kid-friendly Mardi Gras events in Pensacola happening in the next two months.
Pensacola Mardi Gras Kick Off Celebration
Friday, January 7, 2022, at 5 PM in Downtown Pensacola. Kick-off Carnival Season in Pensacola with a second line, king cake, and see the krewes and floats on Jefferson St. south of Romana St. all the way down to Zarragossa, and Government Street between Palafox and Tarragona Streets.
Pirates' Mardi Gras Flotilla
Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 10:45 am. Catch beads from the dock at this boat parade in Perdido Key. It starts at Holiday Harbor Marina, then passes by Sunset Grille, RV Pak docks, and The Oyster Bar, where it u-turns. After the u-turn, it passes by The Perdido Bar Seafood Docks and through Old River ending at the Flor-Bama Lounge.
Navarre Beach Mardi Gras Parade
Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 1 pm. Mardi Gras On the Beach. The parade runs along Gulf Blvd in Navarre Beach. It's suggested that you get there before noon as the bridge closes early.
Kids and Kritters Parade
Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 2 pm. Bring the kids and the pets for the Kids and Kritters Parade on Pensacola Beach in the Casino Beach Parking Lot. Check here for rules for entering the parade.
Krewe of Lafitte Illuminated Mardi Gras Parade
Friday, February 25, 2022, at 7:30 pm. Pensacola's only illuminated night Mardi Gras parade in Downtown Pensacola. The parade starts at the corner of Spring and Garden Streets.
Pensacola Grand Mardi Gras Parade
Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 2 pm. Downtown Pensacola's largest and most extravagant Mardi Gras Parade. Lots of fun to be had and beads to catch at this family-friendly parade starts at the corner of Spring and Garden Streets.
Pensacola Beach Mardi Gras Parade
Sunday, February 27, 2022, at 2 pm. Head over to Pensacola Beach and catch lots of beads! The parade begins at Avenida 10, runs west, and ends at the Gulf Side Pavilion in the Casino Beach Parking Lot.
