Living in New Orleans comes with many perks. One of the best perks is having a wide variety of great restaurants to choose from, but when you have kids, sometimes that perk doesn’t quite exist. We found some of the best restaurants in New Orleans that welcome children with open arms.

G’s Pizza has an extensive menu offering pizza, salads, wraps and much, much more. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The picnic tables outside are perfect for large groups. They are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.
Barcadia is a hot night spot but during the day it is a perfect spot for dining with kids. They have
burgers, tacos, salads and much more. They have life size jenga, air-hockey, 5 foot tall connect
four and much more. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Kids are allowed between the
hours of 11am-9pm and they are open 7 days a week.
Ye Olde College Inn
YOCI is a great neighborhood establishment that is very kid friendly. The food is amazing and
they have so much to chose from. They do not have a kids menu however, they do offer kids
sized portions. They are a farm-to-table restaurant being that they grow a lot of their own
produce on their farm that is adjacent to the restaurant. They also have big jenga and cornhole
outside that is perfect for the kids while they wait for the food. They are open Tuesday through
Saturday from 4pm-11pm.
Flamingo A-Go-Go is a fairly new restaurant that is kid friendly. The menu has something for
everyone. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The courtyard has an old army truck that
kids can sit on and they have a cool water feature to check out. They are open 7 days a week
for lunch and dinner. They welcome pets too!
Deja Vieux Food Park
Lower Garden District
Deja Vieux Food Park is our city's first permanent Food Truck Park. They have many food
trucks offering many different types of food, this is perfect when everyone in the family wants
something different. The atmosphere is quite relaxing. They have covered patio seating, TVs,
live music and games for the whole family. They are open 7 days a week for both lunch and
The Velvet Cactus
The Velvet Cactus is a Mexican restaurant that is kid friendly. They have a great bar for the
adults and the food never disappoints. The patio is perfect for family dining. They also have
cornhole, connect four, and other games perfect for the kids to play while waiting for a table.
They are open Monday through Thursday for dinner and Friday through Sunday for both lunch
Loft 18 is an indoor golf and entertainment center that offers 5 custom-built Full Swing Golf
simulators. Loft 18 has a full service bar and the restaurant offers pub type fare. It is perfect for
the whole family. They are open Monday through Wednesday for dinner and Thursday through
Sunday for lunch and dinner. It is best to book a tee time online before you haul the whole
Superior Grill is a restaurant with a great view of St. Charles. It is a Mexican restaurant that
offers both indoor and outdoor seating with a fun and loud atmosphere that is perfect for the
whole family. They have amazing margaritas for the adults. They are open 7 days a week for
lunch and dinner.
Tower of Pizza
Tower of Pizza is a Metairie staple. The menu is on the wall and consists of pizza, spaghetti
and salad. The food and staff is always outstanding. They have a few arcade type games that
keep the kids busy while waiting for their pizza. The kids can also pull a chair to the window
and the watch the pizza being made and sometimes they will even give the kids some pizza
dough to play with. They only offer beer but you can bring your own wine. They are open
Mondays from 3pm-9:30pm, Tuesday through Friday for both lunch and dinner and Saturday
and Sundays for just dinner.
