Tuesday, October 17 from 5:30 – 6:30 at the Jefferson Parish West Bank Regional Library in Harvey. Children will be making paper bag scarecrows.
Crimestoppers Night Out Against Crime
Tuesday, October 17 from 5pm to 8 pm at Bonnabel Boat Launch. Free food and drinks along with activities for the kids. This will include pony rides, snowballs, face painting, inflatables and Halloween treats. Park at Bucktown Marina and ride free shuttle to the boat launch.
Terrytown Volunteer Fire Department Night Out Against Crime
Tuesday, October 17 from 6-9pm at the Terrytown Volunteer Fire Department, 314 Heritage Ave, Terrytown, LA. Food, fun, and a blood drive.
Reading to Rover
Tuesday, October 17 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Jefferson Parish East Bank Regional Library in Metairie. Beginning and reluctant readers are able to read to furry friends.
Botanical Gardens at City Park
Free admission every Wednesday at the Botanical and Sculpture gardens at City park. Open year round starting at 10 am with last admission is at 4pm.
Fall Concert Series
Thursday, October 19 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The Topcats will be performing at Al Copeland Meadow Stage in Lafreniere Park. Bring your own lawn chairs blankets and picnics
Boo Carre Halloween and Harvest Festival
Saturday, October 21 from 10 am to 3 pm at the French Market in New Orleans. The event begins in Dutch Alley between Dumaine and St. Phillip Streets with trick or treating throughout the Market. Children in costume receive a free tick or treating bag.
Movie in the Park: Moana
Saturday, October 21 from 6pm to 9 pm at Stalling Playground 1600 Gentilly Blvd New Orleans. The movie begins at sunset and will be moved inside if there is rain. There will also have fitness activities before the movie. Bring your own lawn chairs, blanket and picnics, but not pets or alcoholic beverages.
2017 Krewe of Boo Parade
Saturday, October 21 from 6:30 to 9 pm the parade begins at Elysian Fields. See link for parade map http://www.kreweofboo.com. This is a fun parade for the entire family to get ready for Halloween
Louisiana Children’s Museum
Sunday, October 22 from NOON-4:30 pm. Enjoy Free Admission to the Louisiana Children’s Museum.
