With it almost being summer in New Orleans, it’s finally the perfect time of year for an OUTDOOR movie. Take advantage of these family-friendly events around New Orleans to have some family time and enjoy the outdoors too!  Don’t forget to bring a blanket or chairs! Here is a list of FREE and Cheap Summer Movies in New Orleans sponsored by Rapid Urgent Care. 

Kenner Movies in the Park

Kenner’s Rivertown/Heritage Park. Every Saturday in May! Cost: FREE! They also have FREE concerts on Friday nights too!

Flick and Float Movies at the East Jefferson YMCA

May 11 – Finding Dory More info here

Come swim while you watch a movie at their Flick N Float events all summer long! Outdoor movies by the pool will start at sunset, around 8:00. Bring your swimsuit and enjoy the pool, or just hang out on the deck. Concessions will be available.  Cost: FREE for members | $5 for non-members

Future dates/movie titles showing will be announced shortly – most likely the second Friday of every month from June-August!

New Orleans Movies In the Park

Families are encouraged to arrive early to participate in fun fitness activities with Fit NOLA Parks instructors. Movies in the Park is free and open to the public. Movie goers are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics. Movies begin at sunset, between 6:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., and will be moved indoors if there is rain. Cost: FREE!

  •  Jumanji — Friday, May 18, 2018, 6 – 9pm at Rosenwald Rec Center

Teen Movies at the Eastbank Regional Library

 Cost: FREE in the Teen Center.

Regal Summer Movie Express

Admission to the Summer Movie Express is only $1 at The Grand Theater in Kenner. Tickets available for purchase at the box office and all movies start at 10:00 am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays all summer long!

Dinner and Zoovie at Audubon Zoo

Movie admission is $6 per person (under two years of age free). Add Cool Zoo/Gator Run admission for an additional $6 per person for a total of $12 per person. You can bring your own picnic dinner or purchase dinner on site!

Orpheum Theater 

Located at 129 Roosevelt Way, NOLA. The Orpheum Theater is hosting a FREE summer movie series. Doors open at 6pm and the movies start at 7pm.
