Flick and Float Movies at the East Jefferson YMCA
Come swim while you watch a movie at their Flick N Float events all summer long! Outdoor movies by the pool will start at sunset, around 8:00. Bring your swimsuit and enjoy the pool, or just hang out on the deck. Concessions will be available. Cost: FREE for members | $5 for non-members. Call (504) 888-9622 to register.

Admission to the Summer Movie Express is only $1 at The Grand Theater in Kenner. Tickets available for purchase at the box office and all movies start at 10:00 am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays all summer long!

Dinner and Zoovie at Audubon Zoo
Movie admission is $6 per person (under two years of age free). Add Cool Zoo/Gator Run admission for an additional $7 per person for a total of $13 per person when you purchase your tickets online. You can bring your own picnic dinner or purchase dinner on site!

Prytania Kids Summer Movie Series
The Prytania Theater is showing both new and classic kids movies all summer long on Friday and Saturday mornings at 10am. Cost is $6.50 per person and includes a kiddle drink and popcorn.

Kids Canteen
The National WWII Museum has WW2 themed kids movies, crafts and theater snacks for kids ages 5-13 at the Stage Door Canteen through out the summer. Kids are free and adults are $7. Registration is required. Doors open at 10:30am and showtime is at 11am.

Beyond these community campuses, our Y’s mission-critical programs include: the YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program, which helps individuals with prediabetes reduce their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes; YMCA Educational Services (YES!), our adult literacy and workforce development program; YMCA Children’s Unified Benefits and Services (Y CUBS), which works to improve the lives of children living with autism; the Car Seat Safety Outreach program, our vehicle-occupant, safety-education program that provides car seats to low-income families within our Hispanic, immigrant, and refugee communities; and H2Geaux, the Y’s free, mobile, water-safety and –survival course.
Annually, our Y gives over $1 million in financial assistance to nearly 10,000 lower-income families, members, and program participants, including 600 children and youth. Across our association and community programs, we have work with over 40,000 people each year, including 4,000 seniors and 12,000 children.
