Ultimate Guide To Donating Used Stuff In New Orleans

Donating in New Orleans

It's 70° outside, and I have SPRING FEVER! You know what that means? I have the urge to purge! “Operation: Get It Out of My House” is in full swing at the Thibodeaux casa. Some things I will resell on my favorite local buy/sell/trade site like VaragaeSale, but sometimes I just don't have the space to hold on to items until they sell. That's when I call my preferred local donation center and schedule a pickup. This works perfectly for our family as we are a single-income family with limited philanthropic dollars. By donating in kind, we can still help some of our cherished local causes (some of which you can shop at to further your support and get great deals). Here is a my guide to donating used stuff in New Orleans. Everything from clothes to cars!

Avatar of Hope

Hope

Hope is a fifth generation native New Orleanian. To answer the question we all start with when we meet someone new in NOLA: "What's the name of ya school?" Grace King! After graduating from the University of New Orleans, she spent 7 years working in local government. She left the traditional workforce when her son was born to live her lifelong dream of being a soccer mom. Hope happily lives in Gretna (which she never thought she would say, but now can't imagine living anywhere else. #Bestbank ) She loves supporting the local art scene, crafty crap, and spending time with with her two favorite guys - her volunteer firefighter hubby & adorable son.
