Summer in New Orleans is in full swing and the Fourth of July is upon us. Celebrate and honor America’s history with some of these awesome Fourth of July events in New Orleans.
FOURTH OF JULY EVENTS IN NEW ORLEANS
Happy 3rd of July at New Orleans City Park
Saturday, July 3, 2021, at 7 pm. Performance by the Marine Forces Reserve Band with fireworks at 9 pm on the Goldring/Woldenberg Great Lawn in New Orleans City Park. Guest are encouraged to bring their own chairs, blankets, and picnics. No pets, please. FREE
Go 4th on the River
Sunday, July 4, 2021, at 9 pm, find a spot along the Mississippi River in Downtown New Orleans, the French Quarter or Algiers point for the fireworks at 9 pm.
4th Fest in Crescent Park
4th Fest has been canceled for 2021.
Independence Day at the Museum
Independence Day at the National WW2 Museum events are canceled for 2021. However, there is a Victory Belles’s performance at 2:00 pm. You can purchase tickets here.
Steamboat Natchez Fourth of July
4th of July on the Steamboat Natchez has been canceled for this year. However, you can take cruises on her sister boat, The Riverboat City of New Orleans.
4th of July Celebration Cruise on the Creole Queen
Enjoy an open bar, live entertainment including a DJ, jazz band, and a buffet of all American favorites on the Creole Queen. Boarding is from 7-8 pm on July 4, 2021. Cost is $129 per adult; $69 per child ages 6-12; $20 per child ages 3-5.
FOURTH OF JULY EVENTS IN JEFFERSON PARISH
Uncle Sam Jam:
Saturday, July 3, 2021, from 3 pm – 10:30 pm. This event is at Lafreniere Park and is free. There will be live music, booths, and much more, including fireworks at 9 pm.
Feed the Multiples
Sunday, July 4, 2021, from 10 am – 2 pm at Victory Fellowship Church. This free food festival includes music featuring Victory Music as well as giving away shoes, groceries, jambalaya, BBQ chicken, sno-balls, and more. Located at 5708 Airline Dr. Next to the Saints training camp.
FOURTH OF JULY EVENTS ON THE NORTHSHORE
Slidell Heritage Festival
Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Heritage Park. Gates open at 6 pm, live entertainment by the band Witness at 7:30 pm, and Fireworks at 9 pm. Food trucks and beverages are available for purchase. FREE
Sparks In the Park
Saturday, July 3, 2021, from 4:30-9 pm. Bring your chairs, picnic, and blankets! Food and drink are available for purchase—fireworks at dusk. The event will take place at Bogue Falaya Park in Covington.
Light Up the Lake
Sunday, July 4, 2021, from 5-9 PM on the Mandeville Lakefront. At 10 AM, eating and drinking restrictions will be lifted, and families will be allowed to have picnics all day. There will be a food court that will open at 5 pm. Entertainment on the stage begins at 6 pm. At the end of the evening, there will be a fireworks display over Lake Pontchartrain.
Madisonville Old Fashioned Fourth
Saturday, July 3, 2021. Contests start at 10 am, parade at 5 pm and fireworks at dusk at the Madisonville Riverfront, and admission is free.
St. Charles Parish Independence Day Celebration
Saturday, July 3, 2021, from 6-9 pm. Entertainment, children’s activities, fireworks, and more. Chairs, drinks, and ice chest permitted. No pets or glass bottles. West Bank Bridge Park, Luling.
St. Bernard Salutes America
Wednesday, July 4, 2021, from 5:30- 9:45 pm. There will be local vendors selling food, drinks, and much more. The fireworks will be at the end of the night. This event is held on the Frederick J. Sigur Civic Center Grounds and is free.

For over 50 years, Arden Cahill Academy’s Camp Corral has offered a relaxed environment with plenty of indoor and outdoor space where children continue to grow and develop during the summer months under the supervision of qualified teachers and experienced instructors.

A weekly theme guides events for each week. Space, Dinosaur, and Adventure Week are always big hits! Blue & white days, rodeos, theatre productions, the overnight camp ” in,” and buddy days are not to be missed! Make a splash on the giant waterslide that is set up in the swimming pool area daily. Language Arts and Math, academic enrichment classes, are offered as session options.
