Monday, November 6th at 4pm at the Central City Library – 2405 Jackson Avenue, Building C, Room 235 (in the Mahalia Jackson Center). Kids can learn to make a variety of recreational arts and crafts projects.
Young Audiences of Louisiana Baby Artsplay!™
Tuesday, November 7th at 9:30am at New Orleans Jazz Museum at the Old U.S. Mint – 400 Esplanade Ave. New Orleans. Presented by The Helis Foundation, the theme is My Five Senses and is for children ages 1-2 and their caregivers. Multiple dates available register at www.yabap.eventbrite.com
Tuesday, November 7th from 5:30-6:30pm at the Westbank Regional Library. Children of all ages can make an I Love Fall Owl Sign.
Flag Football at Evans Park
Wednesday, November 8th from 5-6:3pm at Evans Park is located at S. Liberty and Soniat Streets. Flag Football is free and open to the community for children ages 6-10. Children can attend even if they haven’t attended any other practices.
Wednesday, November 8th from 7 – 7:45pm at the East Bank Regional Library. Children can come dressed in their pajamas and enjoy a bedtime story, songs and craft. This week’s story is Good Night Owl and the craft is an owl pumpkin sign.
Movie in the Park: La LA Land
Friday, November 10th from 6-9pm at 800 Race St New Orleans. The movie begins at sunset and will be moved inside if there is rain. There will also have fitness activities before the movie. Bring your own lawn chairs, blanket and picnics, but not pets or alcoholic beverages.
Friday, November 10th from 7-9pm at Lyons Rec Center – 624 Louisiana Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70115. Annual cheer championship featuring performances in the pee-wee, junior varsity, and varsity age groups.
Teddy Bear Clinic
Saturday, November 11th from 10am – 1pm at Tulane Lakeside Hospital. Children can bring their “sick” teddy bears to visit different stations in the hospital and meet registered nurses who provide care for their bears. Snacks and crafts will be set up in the waiting room. Also the first 100 children will get a free teddy bear.
Neighborhood Toy Store Day
Multiple toy stores have varying events on Saturday, November 11th.
New Orleans Book Festival
Saturday, November 11th from 1-7pm at City Park’s Big Lake. Meet and hear from national and local authors, enjoy popular dishes from local restaurants and food trucks, and join in games and activities . For more information nolabookfest.org.
