This week is packed with FREE Family Fun in New Orleans. It was difficult to give you just a few, but we managed to, and  are super excited to share! If you’re not too busy attending all of the amazing St. Joseph’s Altars around town you definitely want to check out some of our 10+ FREE Things to do in New Orleans this week (March 19th-March 25th).    


Murder Mystery Night

Tuesday, March 20th from 5:30pm-7:30pm at NAS JRB New Orleans Library, 400 Russell Ave., Bldg. 57 in Belle Chasse. This event at Disco 54 will be a great party for teens and parents until…dun, dun, dun. Help solve the mystery. RSVP Required (504) 678-3078!

Daddy Daughter Spring Fling

Friday, March 23rd from 6:30pm-8:30pm at Gernon Brown Center, 1001 Harrison Ave., NOLA. Get your tickets for a FREE evening of dancing, dining and fun for daughters and their important male figures.


Saturday, March 24th from 9am-12pm a City Park, 1 Palm Dr.,NOLA. You don’t have to enter the Big Bass Fishing Rodeo to take part in the fun for the whole family! Shake your fishtail to the music, enjoy activities, resources, exhibitors and great company!

NORD 2nd Annual Kite Day

Saturday, March 24th from 10am-2pm at Milne Playground, 2400 Filmore Ave., NOLA. Crafts, bounce houses, snacks, music, family, friends and prizes are all a part of Kite Day! Nothing is better than the excitement of seeing them up in the atmosphere, up where the air is clear!

Easter Eggstravaganza

Saturday, March 24th from 11am-2pm at Behrman Memorial Park, 2599 De Armas St., NOLA. Kids ages 3-12 bring your baskets for the Egg Hunt. There will be games, entertainment, music and races for everyone.

Read Aloud with Ariane Trammell

Saturday, March, 24th from 11am-1pm at The Reading Success Center, 240 Dianne Dr. in St. Rose. Support this inspiring local mom, author, and illustrator as she reads from her amazing books.

Movie Matinee: Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

Saturday, March 24th from 1pm-3pm at the Mid-City Branch Library, 4140 Canal St. NOLA. Movie Night is Back! Enjoy Jumanji and refreshments at the Matinee.

Transgender Children’s Playgroup

Saturday, March 24th from 4:30pm-6:30pm at Tubby & Coo’s Mid-City Book Shop, 631 N. Carrollton Ave., NOLA. Meet new friends, other children and parents, watch a movie, draw, or check out the book selection in a safe space at the newly formed Transgender Children’s Playgroup!

Breakfast with the Birds

Sunday, March 25th from 7:30am-9:30am at the Bayou Savage National Wildlife Refuge, NOLA. E-mail Sandi Wicklund to reserve your binoculars for your guided birding tour along the Ridge Trail Boardwalk. Pack your breakfast to enjoy at the pavillion upon the end of the tour.

Jerusalem Fest NOLA 2018

Sunday, March 25th from 12pm-5pm at 2420 Illinois Ave. in Metairie. Give back by supporting ANERA at the 1st annual festival. Enjoy the Dawali-rolling contest, help preserve the art of handmade Palestinian maftool, dance to the exotic Arabic beats, partake in delicious made to order foods and experience the Maclubeh cook-off.

Free Community Egg Hunt
